Frequently Asked Questions

At this time, we are not accepting new patients. Please check back to this site for updates when future appointments become available.

Bio Dentistry MI offers a range of dental services including preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. We also specialize in airway dentistry, including treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

A holistic, airway-focused dentist takes a whole-body approach to oral health, looking beyond just teeth and gums. They evaluate how the structure and function of the mouth, jaws, and airway impact overall health — including breathing, sleep quality, posture, and development. We screen for signs of sleep-disordered breathing, tongue ties, oral myofunctional disorders, and jaw underdevelopment in both children and adults. Treatment may involve myofunctional therapy, expansion techniques, and collaboration with other healthcare providers.

In contrast, a conventional dentist typically focuses on diagnosing and treating issues such as cavities, gum disease, and other localized oral problems without necessarily addressing the broader connections between oral health and systemic well-being or airway function. While both types of dentists are essential for care,  holistic airway-focused dentist considers how oral health fits into the larger picture of your body's overall function and vitality.

50 W. Big Beaver Rd., Suite 120
Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304

Please note: There is another office in Troy that shares the same address. To ensure you find us easily, be sure to enter Bloomfield Hills as the city when searching for directions. We look forward to welcoming you!

Due to the services that we offer, some treatment options are not covered by insurance and payment is expected at time of service.

Our office is currently in-network with Delta Dental Premier and PPO. We do not accept any Medicaid plans.

We gladly accept cash, check, debit, and HSA/FSA cards with no fee. All major credit cards are accepted with a 3% surcharge.

Choosing an out-of-network dentist means you aren’t limited by insurance restrictions. Instead of rushed, one-size-fits-all treatment, you receive:

✔️ More personalized, high-quality dental care

✔️ Access to the best materials & advanced technology

✔️ Longer appointment times for thorough exams & procedures

To ensure a positive dental experience, we highly recommend children are seen by a pediatric dentist until they reach an age where they are more comfortable and cooperative during appointments. This age can vary based on the child. We do not see children for first time dental appointments under age 7.

For tongue & lip ties or other airway concerns, we may see children under age 7 with a referral from a medical provider.

Dental X-rays are the gold standard in accurately diagnosing issues that can’t be seen with the naked eye, such as decay between teeth, bone loss, infections, and other underlying conditions. It is our responsibility to make a clear and thorough diagnosis — without proper imaging, we risk missing important information and doing our patients a disservice.

At our holistic practice, we use low-radiation digital X-rays, which reduce exposure by up to 80–90% compared to traditional film. This allows us to provide safe, effective, and comprehensive care while keeping your overall health in mind.

Please note that we will take a full mouth series of x-rays every 5 years and check up x-rays once a year.

Your first visit includes a comprehensive exam, advanced diagnostics, and a personalized treatment plan based on your oral health needs. We prioritize a thorough approach to help you achieve long-term dental wellness.
